Wildflowers in the Park

Whilst on a walk through our favourite park with our dog Louis - we were wonderfully surprised to see a small meadow of the most beautiful wildflowers.

Their presence lighting up the whole park and bringing so much joy to all who walk through the park.

It was a mesmerising sea of vibrant colours glistening in the afternoon sun and crying out for a photo, and of course we took many. What an absolute joy - to the eye and the senses.

A wonderful haven for bees and butterflies and there were many dancing amongst the nectar-rich wildflowers .

The pink corn cockles, red poppies and the delicate blue cornflowers were my favourite and I think the butterflies rather favoured them too.

I hope people walking through the park will be inspired to create a little meadow of their own and it provides so much pollen and nectar for tiny insects as well as a feast for our eyes and senses.

If you love wildflowers then it is well worth a visit to The Tower of London’s Superbloom - a wonderful sea of wildflowers planted to mark the Queens Platinum Jubilee year.
