Tara's March 2023 Letter

Spring has arrived at last! with daffodils, paperwhites, and a wonderful melody of colourful bulbs popping up everywhere, on the lawns, in pots, borders as well as the countryside. These beauties are the joys of springtime.

Paperwhites (Narcissus papyraceus) are my favourite and their scent is truly intoxicating. I picked my first bunch of paperwhites this week and as I write this letter, I am staring at their pure perfection while being smothered by their fragrance.

For me traditionally, spring is a time to clean sweep our home. Refresh and maybe do a little reimagining around the house. Change after all is a good thing and transforming our surroundings is healthy now and then. For me, there is no better time than spring to put this into action.

A handful of small gestures like replacing my winter heavier throws with lighter ones and changing the more lux cushions with linen ones instantly revamps the sofa. Sometimes all you need is slight changes to refresh and make a room come alive.

Dot a few vases filled with the sweetest-smelling spring flowers around the home to evoke the new season and instantly change the spirit of your abode. Let the different seasons create different moods within your home so that you and your home is in tune with nature.

On that note - there is a wonderful series called ‘Home’ on Apple TV and it is well worth watching. If you love architecture, design, interiors, and sustainable living, then you will love this. It is beautifully filmed and exceptional and I thoroughly recommend watching.

Happy springtime

Warm regards

Tara
