RHS Hampton Court Palace garden festival
The worlds largest flower show in the most magnificent setting - Hampton Court palace garden festival returned this year with the most beautiful naturalistic show gardens, amazing floral marquee filled with the most gorgeous blooms.
In the Festival of Roses marquee, the roses were at their absolute peak with the most stunning display of rose varieties that I have ever seen before. I was truly seduced by their show off beauty and fragrance.
Among the roses on display was the very special ‘Dame Deborah James’ rose and with each rose sold there was a donation to Cancer Research - a very worthy cause.

We really enjoyed taking tea in the ‘rose tea garden’ and this pretty garden wonderfully demonstrated how to grow roses along side perennials and soft grasses for a great affect. I think this is a wonderful way to grow your favourite roses.
I was so inspired by this planting method, that I have came back and mimicked the idea in our own front garden. I think next year when the plants are a little more established, I should be able to see the true fruits of my labour!
Another really enjoyable event was attending the ‘RHS Flower Show School’ with the most beautiful blooms from ‘The Farm’.
There was a lot of useful advice being offered by the experts on how to create exciting displays using British grown flowers, and using sustainable floristry methods.
The RHS Hampton Court flower show not only showcased some breathtaking gardens, it offered the best shopping experience too.
There were lots of amazing plant stands where you could purchase some lovely plants to take home as well as offering everything else that you can possibly think of to make your outdoor space more inviting and beautiful.
We had the most wonderful day and it was lovely to sit and relax with a glass of champagne from one of the many artisan food and drink stands, while listening to uplifting music provided by a great band.
