Easter for me is yet another excuse to decorate our home. After all the Christmas decorations get put away, the home always feels a little empty and then comes Easter and out come the Easter decorations.
I gather lots of branches from the garden and I especially look for ones covered in lichen which I find earthy and rather beautiful. Once I have enough branches I separate them into different vases and place them around the home. Then I weave fairy lights through the branches before I start hanging the decorations.
We are so spoilt these days for decorations and places like TK Maxx and Homesense sell the most lovely Easter decor and all at affordable prices.
I like to make a few homemade decorations too. Last year I made Easter nests using walnut shells, moss, mini eggs and gold thread to hang them from the branches. They were so simple to make and great fun project to do with the kids.
I love to create little spring vignettes around the home throughout the Easter season using vases filled with daffodils, paper whites, hellebores and grape hyacinths - all my favourite spring flowers.
Happy Easter
Warm regards
Tara
