CREATING DRAMATIC FLOWER DISPLAYS

I love this time of year and the beautiful flowers that appear around the garden. I look forward to seeing the magnolias, I love the dramatic branches even before the flowers open- just when it is still in bud.

I can’t wait to snip a few branches to create a display alongside camellias, which I adore for their rather tropical beauty that reminds me of my childhood home in the tropics.

For the display - I place the magnolia branches in a deep vase and fill it with water, just over halfway. Then I immerse the Camilla branches within the water and leave one or two popping out of the top. When the Camilla buds fully open you can see their stunning beauty right through the glass.

This sort of display creates a very theatrical sort of flower arrangement for anywhere in your home and definitely ‘wow ‘those who come to visit.

Warm regards
